Reminder 365 Retirement Notice

Important Update: End of Life for Reminder 365

We regret to inform you that Reminder 365 will be retired and will no longer be available for use from April 2, 2026.

This decision is necessary due to Microsoft’s retirement of the SharePoint Add-In extensibility model, which forms the foundation of our product.

It DOES NOT effect the on-premises version of Reminder – only Reminder 365 for SharePoint Online.

Why This Is Happening

Microsoft has announced the retirement of SharePoint Add-Ins across all Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online environments, including Government Clouds and Department of Defense. SharePoint Add-Ins will stop working will be fully retired as of April 2nd, 2026.

Microsoft has confirmed there will be no option to extend SharePoint Add-Ins beyond this date

Impact on Reminder 365

Since Reminder 365 is built using the SharePoint Add-In model, it will become completely non-functional when Microsoft implements this retirement. While modern alternatives like SharePoint Framework (SPFx) exist, migrating our product to these new technologies would involve:

  • Complete architectural redesign and redevelopment
  • Significant technical complexity in implementation
  • Complicated installation and administration processes for customers

Given these challenges, we have made the difficult decision that rebuilding Reminder 365 is not economically feasible for our organization or practical for our customers.

We understand this change will cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption to your workflows. We remain committed to supporting you through this transition period and will continue to provide technical support for Reminder 365 until its retirement date.

What You Need to Do

2. Data Export : Extract any critical data from Reminder 365 before the retirement date such as Alerts that you have setup, the List/View’s they are watching and the text of the email that is setup.
